ENGLISH “REST”-ROOM PASS
Students must be in class and engaged in order to learn. Disruptions such as leaving class to use the restroom take away from the student’s ability to learn. While most students do not abuse the restroom privilege, some do. Please use the restroom before entering the classroom, during brunch or lunch as I do. If you have a medical condition which requires you to make more frequent use of the facilities, please bring a copy of the doctor’s note or advise me that it is on file in the front office.
Obviously, emergencies do present themselves, and to accommodate them, each student will be given two “free” restroom visits per semester. You must keep this restroom pass in your English notebook. When you need to use the restroom you must ask the teacher to sign and date the pass. If you lose the pass or if you use more than the allowance of two, you will be given a tardy each time you need to leave class to use the restroom. Those of you who do not use the passes can return each of them to me at the end of the semester for twenty (20) points for each pass.
Please use the restroom next to the office. Go directly there and return without detour or delay.
