Ms. Charley’s Rules and Assignment Expectations and Guidelines

  1. Assignments are due on the assigned date. No late or incomplete assignments accepted. It is your responsibility to do your homework and TURN IT IN at the beginning of the next class period.  If you have been absent it is YOUR responsibility to get your missing assignments the First Day you are back.
  1. An Assignment with no name, date, assignment number, page number will not receive credit. Also, answers need to be complete with full sentences. Do the full amount of work needed, not the minimum, for FULL credit.  Illegible name and/or work will not receive credit. Be Neat. If my TA, or I, cannot read your name, how can you receive the points for the work?
  1. You must bring a pencil or pen and paper to do work EVERYDAY. I do not have pens/pencils/paper for you. Be prepared. If this becomes an issue then detention will be assigned for every occurrence.  Stay out of the teachers desk.  Bring your textbook and notebook everyday. Do not leave your textbook(s) in the classroom. The room is not a locker for your books.
  1. New school policy-- You have two restroom trips per semester. See restroom pass policy.
  1. No eating or drinking in the room. I find too many cans, wrappers and messes. You will receive detention for eating or drinking.
  1. Absolutely NO SUNFLOWER SEEDS. You will receive a referral.
  1. Proper Behavior is expected at all times. Do Not Talk when teacher is speaking, stay in seat, and be quiet when working on assignments. No table tapping, chair squeaking, etc. Be respectful to substitutes.
  1. Attitude is everything. Have a good attitude, be respectful of others. Participate. Be involved in the class subject.
  1. THEFT of teacher edition textbooks, classroom items (stapler, tape dispenser, etc.) teachers’ personal items, etc., will not be stood for. There has been an intolerable and inexcusable amount of theft committed by students in the past year and it is unacceptable behavior. You will be dealt with by authorities and removed from my class.
