Butte College Reg-To-Go
What is Reg-to-Go?
Reg-To-Go is Butte College's name for the priority registration program available for local high school seniors. The process involves online registration for Butte College, assessment testing, and finally, a "field trip" to the Butte College main campus for orientation and official registration for fall classes.
What if I have already taken classes at Butte College?
Students who have taken classes at Butte College prior to graduation from high school, either through the 2+2 program at BHS or on their own, must re-register as a graduated high school student in the Reg-to-Go program to be a part of Reg-to-Go - prior K-12 enrollment will not count.
I registered online for Reg-to-Go. What do I do now?
After you have completed your application you should receive an email that contains your Butte College student ID # and log-in information for you online student account (MyBC). If you do not receive an email 7 days after submitting your application contact Butte College Call Center at (530) 895-2361. Please report your ID # to your counselor. You must have your student ID # in order to take the assessment test.
About the Basic Skills Assessment (BSA).
Important: You must bring your PHOTO ID and BUTTE COLLEGE ID# on your scheduled test date. (You cannot test without these!)
The BSA will be administered in a computerized, multiple choice format. The test is untimed, but most students take approximately 2 hours to complete it. No calculators or dictionaries will be allowed. Relax and do you best- this is not a pass or fail test.
You can access a STUDY GUIDE through the Reg-to-Go webpage: http://www.butte.edu/highschool/getting_started/reg_to_go.html.
I have already taken one or both of the assessment tests for Butte College. How do I register for classes?
To attend the priority registration orientation and registration at Butte, students must sign up for the bus to Butte College after taking the assessment. Students MUST take the bus (can't drive themselves) to Butte College for this process (their rules AND ours). In order to take the bus, students must have their parents sign a field trip permission slip.
I have more questions about Reg-To-Go.
Please direct other questions about Reg-To-Go to your student's guidance counselor.
